ClaimShelf

Terms of Use

Effective July 19, 2026

These terms apply to your use of the ClaimShelf iPhone application and website. By using ClaimShelf, you agree to these terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms.

1. Personal productivity tool

ClaimShelf helps you store, organize, search, and remember personal paperwork. It does not verify authenticity, legal validity, insurance coverage, payment status, tax treatment, or whether any third party must accept a document.

2. No professional advice

ClaimShelf does not provide legal, tax, accounting, insurance, immigration, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Extracted text and dates are editable suggestions and may be wrong. You are responsible for checking originals and official requirements before acting.

3. Your content and responsibility

You retain responsibility for documents you capture or import and must have the right to possess and process them. You are responsible for device access, backup passphrases, exported copies, and keeping recovery material current.

4. Purchases

ClaimShelf Pro is offered as a non-consumable in-app purchase through Apple. Family Sharing is enabled where Apple supports it. Pricing, taxes, sharing eligibility, refunds, and payment processing are governed by Apple and may vary by storefront. Existing documents remain readable if StoreKit is temporarily unavailable.

5. Availability and changes

We aim to keep ClaimShelf reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the app, iCloud Drive, StoreKit, notifications, Reminders, or system frameworks. Features may change to maintain compatibility, security, or legal compliance.

6. Backups and data loss

Automatic iOS offload normally preserves app data, while manually deleting the app may remove it. Encrypted backups require the correct passphrase, which ClaimShelf cannot recover. To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for maintaining copies appropriate to the importance of your documents.

7. Disclaimer and limitation

ClaimShelf is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-opportunity damages arising from missed deadlines, inaccurate extraction, unavailable services, or lost data.

8. Termination

You may stop using ClaimShelf at any time. Deleting the app can remove local content but does not automatically remove exported files, encrypted backups, or Apple Reminders stored elsewhere.

9. Changes and contact

The effective date identifies the current terms. Questions can be sent to support@claimshelf.com.
